China Agricultural University (CAU) is one of the top ranked key national universities in China and directly subordinated to the Ministry of Education. CAU President is appointed by the Central Government. As the oldest agricultural higher educational institution in
CAU’s Centennial Celebration and the World Agriculture Congress were grandly opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 16 September 2005. A total of 300 delegates of 128 universities, colleges and institutes from 24 countries actively participated in the event, marking it a successful milestone in CAU’s history.

The Undergraduate Program is organized within one of the 14 colleges, and Masters and Doctoral Programs are conducted under the direction of the Graduate School, which is the first such school of this kind among all agricultural universities in

CAU has a total of 1,555 highly qualified faculty members, including five Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, six Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 526 Professors, and 755 Associate Professors.
CAU currently offers 95 Doctoral Programs, 171 Master Programs, and 64 Undergraduate Programs. In addition, 12 Post-Doctor Working-Stations are well.
So far CAU has 11 Master Programs and 11 Doctoral Programs delivered in English.
All the educational programs are open to international students as well, although as is typical everywhere, there are certain basic Chinese language requirements necessary prior to their enrollment.
